Why Prolonged Sitting is So Bad for Our Body
Bravo 👏
I eat konjac noodles.. Zero rise.. no taste.. But it is what it is
Interesting, thank you for sharing! After this test, I was under impression that all konjac-related products spike blood sugar. But sounds like it’s not the case
buckwheat the best
Oh, yeah, I grew up on buckwheat 😃
Do they all usually contain rice flour though ?
I believe so
Please check acorn squash, butternut squash, and pumpkins
Sure, it’s a good idea 👍
Red plums next please and thank you.
Thank you, just added to my to-test list 😃
I’m going to try this as well. Soymilk next please?
Let me try regular milk first 😊
Thank you for this. Also tried this and got the same results as yours.
Great to hear that our results are consistent 👍
As a type II diabetic, I'm so glad Coke made Coke Zero. I've tested my blood sugar after drinking regular Coke & Coke Zero. Regular Coke spiked my blood sugar! Coke Zero didn't affect it at all. Just curious, but where are you from? Your accent reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Sounds like you have the same experience as I did, it's good!
are you a diabetic person?
No, I am not diabetic. My A1c is 5.1%, so I am supposed to be a "healthy" person :)
@@PracticalHealthNow ok..thanks, for us diabetic, the result is much different from what you've got because of us diabetic having Insulin resistance. Thanks
This guy is TERRIFIC!
Yeah, I love what he is doing :) On a serious note, thank you, I'm glad that you enjoy the video and the channel!
Thank you 🙏
Anjala, you’re welcome 😊
Stem room is a very great method to help positive trigger insulin to diminish the glycogen from the exercise.
I am a huge fan of sauna, but I was not aware that the sauna has a positive effect on insulin. Let me research this topic :)
@@PracticalHealthNow yes you should. There is a way let say you do a multiple brick a brack session.with cold water shower in btw each 8-10mims session. For newbie to try on must watch out their body tolerance level. Always starts from small 5mins.
@@PracticalHealthNow by the way, I'm a T2 Diabetes with 10yrs neglected my blood sugar levels up till 15 after 12hrs fasting. I had reversed that situation back to under 6mmol now. Carbs tolerance still not quite great as expected. But being under control and stable blood sugar levels at btw 5-7mmol had been very easy to achieve with my diet change since .
@@ahlin5670 Wow, awesome, congratulations! I am sure it was not that easy, but it's definitely worth it
@@PracticalHealthNow thankyou bro!!❤️❤️
interesting
😁👍
thank you for having very informative information for those with diabetes!, it’s always nice to know from others who have it aswell.
Glad you found it helpful :)
I love watermelon and didn't know it can cause blood sugar spike that high. Thanks for the information
Laila, I think you are not alone - a lot of people love watermelons, but are not aware of the blood sugar spikes watermelons create ☺️
👍🏿cane sugar has fructose also.. That is hard on your liver
Yeah, exactly :(
You should eat the seeds too. They kinda the healthiest level you can get on this planet
Oh, interesting! I've never tried them, are they better than almonds?
@@PracticalHealthNow no its becaus of the nutrients not because of the taste :)
Awesome thanks
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video!
This is interesting, although you can look it up in every diabetes guide or learn it during therapy class (in Germany at least, I learned it 29 years ago). I never tested it because it also depends on the degree of ripeness of the fruit, the time of the day you make the test, as woman on the day of the hormonal cycle and on other parameter which have effect on the blood sugar level of that day, like stress, sport and so on. But the general ranking from berries to grapes and watermelon is correct.
Cecilia, great points, and I totally agree with you! There are many factors that can influence the magnitude and duration of blood sugar spikes. This isn't a scientific ranking by any means. My goal is to raise awareness about blood sugar spikes, how to manage them, and to combat the growing global diabetes pandemic...
Although what you say is true and should be taken into consideration, i believe this ranking could still be very useful as a scale or proportional representation, and could be applied case-by-case by taking your specific measurements into account 👍
I think you are unique.. ive never seen anyone yet that has a good fastening bg and such a high spike.. just wow.. interesting study on its own
Good point! I don't know for sure, I haven't seen solid studies, but I suspect I'm not unique in this. And that many people who are technically "healthy" still experience blood sugar spikes due to issues with insulin management.
Buns= bad for me.. 80+ spike always And i get mine with mustard only.. no spread
Buns or bread spike my blood sugar all the time 😩
Watermelon 150 then dropping until 30 isnt also a good one ? Why you have it almost last on the lista tho
Just to clarify the graph - watermelon that has 150 calories and 30 grams of sugar creates a blood sugar spike of 227. 227 is a lot!
Please test döner
The problem with doner is that they are all different :) The one I get at my local place might be very different from yours, so my test might not be that relevant for you...
@@PracticalHealthNow Ahh yes I did not consider this. Thank you for the quick reply though!
This is very informative. My mother is diabeticand she likes fruit. Now i know what fruit to buy
Riza, glad you found it helpful! That's the goal of my channel - to share insights into which foods cause blood sugar spikes and which ones don't :)
Dates
Already tested, posted a couple weeks ago 😊
Did the coffee have sugar
No, just coffee and milk
Can you try peaches and nectarines, they are my favourite but i feel they may be bad.
Oh, yeah, it’s a great idea! Just give me a bit time 😊
@PracticalHealthNow do you only try fruits? No chocolate or sugary candy/drinks?
@@jewelz6647 No, I am testing all popular foods. I already tested 2 types of chocolate, coke, zero sugar coke and many other types of food :)
Foods containing 'resistant wheat starch', Inulin, or chicory root fiber.
Ok, interesting 🤨 Give examples of such foods
I need something for my knees.
Try to experiment with different cushions in running shoes 👟
@@PracticalHealthNow Thanks! I will give that a try.
Beans & legumes
Yes, it’s on my to-test list 😊
Cherry one of my favorites...
I was a bit nervous about the amount of sugar in cherries, but it looks like it’s not that bad 😊
Try putting the rice in the refridgerator first...then rewarm it before consumption Interested in those results
Yes, I plan to do that. Some other people suggested the same ☺️
Bravo
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Prunes thank you for that this is very important video
Thank you! Prunes are coming 😊
I spiked 80+ points for hours With steel cut oats.. no thanx
Sounds oatmeal causes blood sugar spike for a lot of people ☺️
👍🏿
☺️👍
have you tried raspberries yet?
Not yet, coming 😃
Can you test Dates? Only 2 dates is enough.
I already tested 4 dates, it’s somewhere on the page 😊
Thanks for the video. Can you say “Astala vista baby” in your next video ?
Yeah, sure! “Asta la vista, baby” 😃
Please try plain oatmeal without raisins
Yes, it’s on my to-test list 😃
Please test frozen low carb bread i would love if it really works
I’m not familiar with a low-carb bread, what is that?
@@PracticalHealthNow bread with lower sugar content you can google it
@@PracticalHealthNow pure cacao chocolate 90 procent
@@xenaburg2362 Coming :)
Does it matter how much of it you eat
It definitely does 😊 I think it’s the second biggest thing after food’s glycemic index. I am trying to stick to typical/ average portion size to make my test as representative as possible
This is not super veggie friend. There is also cumin ACV and olive oil which changes your displayed macros
What do you mean? I just followed the recipe published at Bryan Johnson’s website
😮, I was thinking all juices were bad for us , I tend to avoid them
Some of them are quite ok 👌
I react this way to almost any bread, unless its made with coconut or almond flour
So, we are in the same boat... I am wondering how many people experience reactive hypoglycemia. I guest quite a lot, they are just not well aware of it :)
I’m still going to try Dr Bergs bread.. But I’m lazy 🤣🤣 and time deficient
Brother please do one more video on white rice with some ghee added to it.ghee is clarified butter
Ashraf, yes, it's on my to-test list. It might take some time to get to this test :)
@@PracticalHealthNow please try with some Indian curries along with white rice
Costco sells frozen organic berries medley of blueberries strawberries raspberries and blackberries delicious especially with greek yogurt and dark chocolate
Sounds great! Greek yogurt with berry and some granola is one of my favorite foods :)
Sometimes I don’t who is telling right or wrong some saying don’t eat cherries 😳
Khudaya, only I am telling the truth :) On a serious note, cherries are good for my blood sugar, but everyone reacts differently to different foods. So, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else experiences a huge spike from cherries.
Berberine ... used for thousands of years for sugar issues.
Marna, I haven't seen any solid research on barberine, but let me do a proper research.
